Kilclare
Client Services will be happy to work with you around pricing your
customized solution. We would also be happy to provide you with a copy
of our standard pricing policy document which details the list prices
for all the individual elements possible in a Kilclare solution.
When comparing solution
providers, prospective clients should keep in mind that individual solution
components may be priced higher or lower between vendors, but it is
the total solution cost that should be compared. Also, many vendors
- unlike Kilclare - bundle various solution components so that one is
often forced into acquiring unnecessary or undesired products and/or
services.
Below we have summarized
briefly the possible solution components that prospective clients should
consider:
Program Licensing
- Initial Purchase
The number of licenses
is determined on a named-user basis. VA is a client/server application
that can run in Stand Alone or Networked configuration with a minimum
5-User Network License. When used in either a networked or intranet/internet
configuration, the program licensing fees do not include any required
or recommended additional software to accomplish such configuration.
We have listed the most common required additional software to achieve
these latter two configurations in our Technical Specifications section
of our product literature available on our website and in our marketing
brochures.
Kilclare will be
happy to discuss any additional hardware or software that you feel will
best meet the requirements of your desired configuration, but does not
recommend, sell or otherwise make available such hardware or software.
Program Licensing
- Upgrades
Periodically Kilclare
makes available program upgrades. These are provided at no cost to users
with a current Program Support & Maintenance ("PSM") subscription.
Where a user desires
to obtain a program upgrade but does not have or has an expired PSM
subscription, Kilclare Software provides a 50% discount off the current
list price.
Program Licensing
- Other
Kilclare Software
also makes available Enterprise Licenses for VA wherein the user organization
is completely unrestricted as to the number of named users it may install
on the VA system. Please inquire with Client Services for pricing information
regarding our Enterprise Licenses.
Kilclare Software
has also created a "Provider Program" wherein a third-party
provider of consulting services deploying VA in its solutions delivered
to its own clients. In addition to making the VA application available
to the provider, the Provider Program also comprehends training and
marketing assistance components. Providers should inquire with Client
Services to discuss pricing around this program.
Program Support
& Maintenance
The available Program
Support & Maintenance ("PSM"), while strongly recommended,
is optional and not required by the program license. Access to our Tech
Support Centers is provided at no cost to all users for the first 60
days following their program license purchase. During this period program
upgrades classified as builds are also made available to users at no
cost. PSM is billed annually on a calendar year-basis. Clients are invoiced
in January of each year for the Annual PSM Fee.
PSM is priced at
an annual rate of 20% of the current list price for the number of licenses
held.
Training
Kilclare offers
periodic group training sessions based on demand. The course offerings
for VA currently include a 2-day primer, an advanced authoring course
and an advanced administration course. Theses are typically priced at
US$800 per day depending on our venue expenses. Kilclare also offers
individual, on-site training for firms desiring either customized course
work or where the need for training cannot be delayed until sufficient
group demand materializes. On-site training is priced at US$2,500 per
day plus any out-of-pocket expenses .
Technical Assistance
Legacy System Data
Conversion Assistance - While the VA suite includes the necessary convert
utility program, clients performing upgrade migrations that span more
than one version of VA will require assistance in data conversion should
the data created in the legacy version be desired for use and review
in the current version. Also, some clients have time constraints or
competing priorities that make our assistance attractive. These services
are priced at US$200 per hour and do not typically involve a significant
number of hours (depending on the quantity of data) or any on-site presence
by Kilclare.
On-site Installation
Assistance - The Program License Fee includes all required documentation
for program installation and 60 days to tech support as described above.
This is typically sufficient to install VA. Where the client desires
an on-site presence to assist and guide the installation process, our
Tech Support Center staff can be made available. These services are
priced at US$200 per hour for hours on-site and require the reimbursement
of out-of pocket expenses.
Customized Program
Modification or Enhancement - As stated previously, Kilclare does not
maintain or support custom versions of its products. Notwithstanding
the aforementioned, Kilclare will entertain requests for customizations
or enhancements where they do not conflict with this policy (e.g. custom
report, acceptable enhancement desired before the Kilclare upgrade insertion
timeframe, etc.). Pricing for these services range from US$200 - US$325
per hour depending on complexity and the assigned resources required
to accomplish the request.
Knowledge Content
Templates
Any Kilclare knowledgebase
template is available individually for a US$75 formatting fee. Library
prices comprehend an increasing discount for bulk purchases. Please
contact Client Services for current library prices.
Miscellaneous
Shipping - All shipments
of program materials and content made via International FedEx carry
a US$60 fee. All shipments made using domestic FedEx services will carry
a US$25 fee.
Media - Users requiring
additional program or content CD's may obtain these by emailing us at
sales@kilclare.com and will be assessed a US$10 for each CD. Users requiring
the program or content materials on 3.25" diskettes may similarly
address themselves and will be assessed a US$50 fee.
Non-English language
Master installation CD preparation (exclusive of translation costs)
US$300.
Out-of-pocket Expense
Reimbursement - Kilclare's travel policies define out-of-pocket expenses
as necessary transportation such as airfare, taxis, automobile mileage
(US$0.32/mile - US$0.30/kilometre) or rentals, gasoline/petrol, road
tolls and any associated taxes. While Kilclare will always seek to obtain
economical travel fares and accommodations, we reserve the right to
use our agents to make all necessary travel arrangements to include
airline and hotel choices. We further reserve the right to schedule
nonstop flights. We will purchase economy-class fares for flights less
than six hours in duration. For flights greater than six hours in duration,
business-class fares will be purchased. For in-country flights in any
of the countries where Kilclare has offices or agents located, nonrefundable
fares will be utilized where possible. Also included in out-of-pocket
expenses are charges for accommodations. Kilclare will utilize midrange
hotels such as those offered by Hilton or Marriott. Accommodations also
include all charges for meals, telephone usage (billed to a calling
card where possible), gratuities, laundry, valet, car park services
and any associated taxes.
