UPGRADING VISUAL ASSURANCE

We are pleased to hear that you are considering upgrading VISUAL Assurance to our latest version, VA3.1. Kilclare always provides for the conversion of data from prior versions of its products. Kilclare is also committed to supporting prior versions for a period not less than one year following the release of a new version.

It is Kilclare's philosophy to continually make its products responsive to the assessment needs of its users and it has an aggressive track record in providing upgrades. At the same time, this is tempered by a companion philosophy that implements program changes that are generally acceptable to the majority of our user-base. We maintain and support only one set of code for our products instead of multiple, user-specific versions. We also understand that any upgrade represents the potential for required changes in the user-organizations and time to implement. We value your time as we do our own and strive to keep upgrade releases reasonably paced to minimize organizational impact yet balanced to remain responsive to client-needs and requests.

Why Upgrade?

VA3.1 has significantly enhanced functionality over VA2.5 and is much easier to use. These features are enumerated throughout this site, especially in the FUNCTIONALITY section under the SYSTEM tab. For a quick glance at a features comparison chart, click here.

While important, we imagine your larger question to be the risk of not upgrading or delaying the upgrade until a more convenient time.

What will it cost?

If you have a current Program Support & Maintenance ("PSM") subscription, there are no costs associated with upgrading. We will send you all new versions and releases as they become available. If your PSM subscription is not current, upgrading will require a license repurchase. We are able to make these licenses available to you at a 50% discount off the current list price.

How long will it take and what's required?

With a small amount of advance planning, the upgrade project can reasonably be expected to take no more than one week.
